This is the 20 cm (7.9 in) two-handled pot from the Chitose series, a stainless steel pot with plain wood handles and a matching wood lid knob. Each one is given a satin finish by craftsmen in Tsubame, Niigata.

We like its simple build. There are no unnecessary ridges or recesses, so it is easy to wash. The matte body also helps hide scratches from daily use.

It holds about 2.8 L (3 qt), which makes it a good size for miso soup, simmered dishes and curry. It works on gas stoves and induction (IH) cooktops. Made in Japan.
