This saucepan comes with a matching ladle, both made of stainless steel in Tsubame-Sanjo, Niigata, as part of the Tsubamesan series that continues the craft heritage of the blacksmiths who helped build Tsubame into Japan's leading housewares-producing region.

The wall thickness is balanced to cook food evenly, the rounded bottom helps simmer ingredients gently, and the resin handle stays cool to the touch, making this a dependable everyday pan for the kitchen.

The saucepan measures 35.5 x 20 x 15 cm (14 x 7.9 x 5.9 in), weighs 680 g (24 oz / 1.50 lb), and holds 2.4 liters (2.5 qt). The included ladle is about 280 mm (11 in) long and weighs 89 g (3.1 oz / 0.20 lb). It works on gas stoves and induction (IH) cooktops, and is made in Japan.
