This rack and tray set from the Enzo series of Tsubame, Niigata is made to drain excess oil from fried food so it stays crisp.
The wave-shaped rack lets fried foods lean at an angle, so oil drains off quickly. Pieces do not overlap and plenty fit at once, which keeps batter from turning soggy.
It can go straight to the table as a serving dish while draining. Lay paper on the tray for easy cleanup. The rack weighs 150 g (5.3 oz / 0.33 lb) and the tray 180 g (6.3 oz / 0.40 lb). Dishwasher safe. Made in Japan.
