Yamako Hinoki Round Plate Large 32187

This round plate from Yamako is made of hinoki cypress wood and finished with a two-step coating process. An undercoat first strengthens the wood from the inside, and after sanding a matte "Super Fine" topcoat is applied over it, giving the plate a durable finish that guards the wood both inside and out. This differs from ordinary wood coatings, which only form a protective film on the surface.

The plate measures 27 x 2.8 x 1 cm (10.6 x 1.1 x 0.4 in) and weighs 314 g (11.1 oz / 0.69 lb). This is the large size in the series.

Made in Japan.
