Akebono Rice Paddle Holder Clip CH-2142

This clip is part of Akebono Sangyo's Come Colle line of rice-related kitchen tools. It clips onto the edge of a bowl or an inner rice cooker pot to act as a stopper, keeping rinsed rice from spilling out while you wash and drain it.

It is also handy for draining water when rinsing wakame seaweed or vegetables. It measures 13.2 x 11 x 3.5 cm (5.2 x 4.3 x 1.4 in) and weighs 20 g (0.04 lb), and is made of polypropylene rated for use between -20°C and 120°C.

Akebono Sangyo has been making kitchenware in Tsubame, Niigata since 1952, producing many of its plastic kitchen items, including the molds used to form them, in house.
