This microwave egg boiler makes boiled eggs for one or two without using the stove. It uses residual heat cooking: after microwaving, you leave the eggs inside to finish cooking, which shortens the time the microwave runs.
As a guide for 1 to 2 medium eggs, heat for about 10 to 11 minutes at 500 to 600 W, or 9 to 10 minutes at 700 to 800 W. For soft-boiled eggs, shorten the time by about 30 to 60 seconds. For large eggs or hard-boiled eggs, lengthen it by about 30 to 60 seconds.
