This microwave egg boiler makes up to three boiled eggs without using the stove. It uses residual heat cooking: after microwaving, you leave the eggs inside to finish cooking, which shortens the time the microwave runs.
As a guide for medium eggs, heat 1 to 2 eggs for about 9 to 10 minutes at 500 to 600 W or 8 to 9 minutes at 700 to 800 W. For 3 eggs, heat about 10 to 11 minutes at 500 to 600 W or 9 to 10 minutes at 700 to 800 W. Shorten by about 30 to 60 seconds for soft-boiled eggs, and lengthen by about 30 to 60 seconds for large or hard-boiled eggs.
