Asahi Copper Kettle 2.4L CNE317

This pure copper kettle is hand-polished by craftsmen in Tsubame, Niigata, a city with a long history of metalworking in Japan. The skills passed down through generations are used to shape copper into cookware trusted by many professional cooks.

Copper conducts heat very well, so the kettle brings water to a boil quickly. Copper ions are also said to soften the taste of the water. A polish for copper and brass is included for care.

The kettle stands about 165 mm (6.5 in) tall, weighs about 687 g (24.2 oz / 1.51 lb), and holds 2.4 L (2.5 qt).
