These activated carbon filter cartridges are made for Kyoto Katsugu filtering oil pots. Each set includes three cartridges, with the outer packaging measuring 11 x 11 x 10 cm (4.3 x 4.3 x 3.9 in) and weighing 110 g (3.9 oz / 0.24 lb).
Each individual cartridge is about 9 cm (3.5 in) in diameter and about 3.2 cm (1.3 in) tall, so it will also fit other oil pots that use a filter of roughly the same 9 cm (3.5 in) diameter.
The activated carbon inside each cartridge absorbs odors and residue from used cooking oil, letting you reuse the oil. One cartridge lasts about 10 uses, though this varies with the amount of oil and how soiled it is.
