Pearl Metal Stainless Steel Adjustable Drop Lid Otoshibuta C-4803

This adjustable drop lid (otoshibuta) is made of stainless steel and fits pots ranging from 16 to 24 cm (6.3 to 9.4 in) in diameter, with a height of 20 mm (0.8 in).

Beyond its use as a drop lid for simmered dishes, it can also be placed at the bottom of a pot as a steaming rack for steamed dishes. A ring in the center lets you hook a pair of cooking chopsticks through it to lift the lid safely out of a hot pot.

Being stainless steel, it does not retain odors from previous use, and it is dishwasher safe.
