Shimomura Ajiwai Shokubo ECO Skimmer Strainer AEC-204

The Ajiwai Shokubo ECO Skimmer from Shimomura Kogyo has a fine mesh that catches even small bits of frying debris, keeping oil cleaner as you cook. It also works well for lifting fried food out of the oil. The metal mesh and frame are heat-resistant, durable stainless steel, and the handle is shaped to fit comfortably in the hand.

This skimmer belongs to the Ajiwai Shokubo ECO series, which blends plant-based biomass material into its resin parts. The biomass plastic is made from molasses left over after sugar is extracted from sugarcane, replacing some of the fossil-fuel-based plastic normally used and helping reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

The skimmer is dishwasher safe. It measures 31 x 10.2 x 1.5 cm (12.2 x 4 x 0.6 in) and weighs 48 g (1.7 oz).
