It is made from TPX (polymethylpentene), a high-performance material developed by Mitsui Chemicals, which keeps the bowl light while still easy to handle.
It is handy for food prep tasks such as portioning ingredients or mixing eggs and seasonings. The inside of the bowl is shaped like a suribachi grinding bowl, so ingredients such as sesame seeds can be ground easily inside it.
The bowl is microwave safe and easy to wash and care for after use. It measures 10.5 x 10 x 5.8 cm (4.1 x 3.9 x 2.3 in) and weighs 60 g (2.1 oz / 0.13 lb). Made in Japan.
