This copper rocks glass is made for enjoying shochu or mizuwari (shochu mixed with water). Copper conducts heat quickly, so a cold drink poured in chills almost instantly and stays that way.

The inside is lined with tin, which is said to soften and enhance the drink's flavor through an ionic effect, while a baked-on clear coating on the outside keeps the copper from discoloring over time. The surface has a hammered (tsuchime) texture, giving it a refined look and a pleasant feel in the hand. Both the inside and outside are engraved with the character for "Hana" (flower).

This copper mirror version has an exterior made by blending gold into the copper, giving it a vivid pink-gold tone.

The glass stands about 85 mm tall (3.3 in), weighs about 165 g (5.8 oz / 0.36 lb), and holds about 300 ml (10.1 fl oz).
