Tsubamesan takes its name from Tsubame-Sanjo, a part of Niigata Prefecture with a metalworking history going back to the Muromachi period and known today as Japan's leading hausware-producing region.

This stainless steel cookware set carries that heritage forward with a wall thickness chosen to be neither too thick nor too thin for even cooking, a rounded bottom that cooks food gently, and resin handles designed to stay cool to the touch. The set includes an 18 cm (7.1 in) saucepan, a 20 cm (7.9 in) stockpot, a 24 cm (9.4 in) two-tier steamer, and a ladle, and every piece works on both gas burners and induction (IH) cooktops.

It is sturdy enough for daily use and simple enough to fit in with any cookware already on hand.
