Tsubamesan takes its name from Tsubame-Sanjo, a part of Niigata Prefecture with a metalworking history going back to the Muromachi period and known today as Japan's leading hausware-producing region.

This stainless steel cookware set carries that heritage forward with a wall thickness chosen to be neither too thick nor too thin for even cooking, a rounded bottom that cooks food gently, and resin handles designed to stay cool to the touch. The set includes an 18 cm (7.1 in) saucepan, a 20 cm (7.9 in) stockpot, and a 22 cm (8.7 in) pasta pot with a removable strainer insert for draining pasta, plus a ladle. Every piece works on both gas burners and induction (IH) cooktops.

It is sturdy enough for daily use and simple enough to fit in with any cookware already on hand.
