This silicone ladle is part of Wahei Freiz's Kitchen Assist kitchen tool line, designed to be gentle on the nonstick coating inside frying pans and other cookware. The soft silicone has a UV treatment so it resists picking up dust, and the tool is shaped so the tip does not touch the counter when set down, keeping it more hygienic between uses. It is dishwasher safe.
The ladle has a flat tip that sits flush against the bottom of a pot or pan, so it can also be used like a spatula, and its shape makes it easy to pour soup or sauce from a corner.
