Akebono Greek Yogurt Strainer Container Large ST-3002

This large yogurt strainer makes thick, Greek-style yogurt at home. It holds about two store-bought tubs of yogurt, with a capacity of 2.3 L (2.4 qt).

A fine 18-8 stainless steel mesh drains the yogurt without paper filters, so there is nothing to throw away after each batch. The maker redesigned the strainer basket to be sturdier and easier to use than its earlier model.

The container has measurement marks that show how much whey has drained, which helps you judge how firm the yogurt is. Use the strained yogurt in cooking and baking. The drained whey can also go into your recipes.

Made in Japan by Akebono Sangyo of Tsubame, Niigata.
