Shimomura Karuraku Food Cutting Meal Scissors with Case KR-402

These food scissors are part of the Karuraku series, made to help cut meals into bite-sized pieces for easier eating, for anyone from children to older adults.

The blades have a gentle curve that cuts at a comfortable angle, which works well on soft noodles and vegetables that are hard to cut with chopsticks or a spoon, as well as tougher foods such as squid or octopus. They are handy for supporting older family members at mealtimes and for cutting up food for babies starting solids.

Sized to be easy to hold for women and people with smaller hands, the scissors come with a storage case for meals away from home, and they separate into two pieces for washing.

They measure about 20 x 10 x 2 cm (7.9 x 3.9 x 0.8 in), weigh about 100 g (3.5 oz), and are made in Japan.
