The Shimomura Prograde PG-651 is a 3-blade slicer designed to shred cabbage into light, crisp strands quickly and in volume. With three slicing blades instead of one, it produces about three times as much shredded cabbage for the same number of strokes.
The curved blades reduce the contact area with the food, lowering resistance so slicing requires only light pressure while still producing smooth, even strands. The sharp stainless steel blades slice without crushing the cabbage, keeping its crisp, fresh texture. The slice thickness is 0.9 mm (0.04 in), suited to holding sauces and dressings well.
A holder guards your hand during use and can be fitted over the body to cover the blade for storage; a lock lever keeps it from coming loose. The unit measures 350 mm (13.8 in) in length and weighs about 270 g (9.5 oz / 0.60 lb). Made in Japan.
