Tamahashi Lacquered Rock Tumbler Oboro Black TS-24

This lowball-style tumbler is part of the Urushimaro series, combining the metal fabrication tradition of Tsubame, Niigata Prefecture with the Yamanaka-nuri lacquerware of Kaga, Ishikawa Prefecture. Its Oboro Black finish has a textured, slightly uneven surface that feels new to the touch yet settles naturally into the hand, and several lacquer artisans worked on each piece to create a texture that cannot be judged by sight alone.

This tumbler holds 250 ml (8.5 fl oz) and weighs about 163 g (5.7 oz). It carries the Made in Tsubame mark, confirming it was produced in Tsubame, Niigata Prefecture.
