Tamahashi Lacquered Straight Tumbler Oboro Black TS-22

This tumbler is part of the Urushimaro series, combining the metal fabrication tradition of Tsubame, Niigata Prefecture with the Yamanaka-nuri lacquerware of Kaga, Ishikawa Prefecture. Its Oboro Black finish has a textured, slightly uneven surface that feels new to the touch yet settles naturally into the hand, and several lacquer artisans worked on each piece to create a texture that cannot be judged by sight alone.

This tumbler holds 300 ml (10.1 fl oz) and weighs about 180 g (6.3 oz). It carries the Made in Tsubame mark, confirming it was produced in Tsubame, Niigata Prefecture.
