Wahei Freiz Menkyo Kaiden Non-Stick Rice Paddle Large KR-9016

This rice paddle is part of the Menkyo Kaiden non-stick series. Its surface uses a double embossed texture, with fine ridges layered over a raised pattern, which reduces the contact area with the rice and helps retain a thin layer of moisture so rice does not stick.

The smooth edge around the embossed area is made thinner than the rest of the paddle, which keeps rice from clinging to the rim. The thinner edge also makes it easier to slide the paddle into the rice, giving a cleaner cutting and fluffing action when mixing freshly steamed rice. It is made in Japan.
