The Cast Varius fry pan is a 20 cm (7.9 in) skillet from Hokuriku Aluminum, built with a handle that detaches from the body. The pan uses a trident-shaped construction made possible by its cast aluminum body, a composite design described as the first of its kind in Japan for a stable, secure fit.
The interior is finished with fluororesin coating in the top fluororesin grade. A blend of spherical ceramic particles helps reduce wear on the cooking surface, which improves the coating's durability and nonstick performance.
This pan is for gas stovetops only. The base is about 4.0 mm (0.2 in) thick, and the pan stands about 54 mm (2.1 in) high. The handle is sold separately and is not included. Made in Japan.
