This cabbage slicer is part of Shimomura Kogyo's Ajiwai Shokubo ECO series, designed with the future of the natural environment in mind. The resin body blends in plant-based biomass plastic made from molasses, a byproduct left over after sugar is extracted from sugarcane, replacing some petroleum-based plastic and helping reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

It lets you shred cabbage into light, fluffy strands with ease. A hand guard holder protects your fingers and lets you keep slicing safely and without waste even as the piece of cabbage gets smaller. The slicer is dishwasher safe.

It measures 32 x 13 x 4.5 cm (12.6 x 5.1 x 1.8 in) and weighs about 220 g (7.8 oz / 0.49 lb). Made in Japan.
