This mandoline slicer is part of Shimomura Kogyo's Ajiwai Shokubo ECO series, designed with the future of the natural environment in mind. The resin body blends in plant-based biomass plastic made from molasses, a byproduct left over after sugar is extracted from sugarcane, replacing some petroleum-based plastic and helping reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

A sharp slicing blade cuts through prep work quickly, saving time and effort. A hand guard holder protects your fingers and lets you keep slicing safely and without waste even as the ingredient gets smaller. The slicer is dishwasher safe.

It measures 28 x 9.8 x 3.8 cm (11 x 3.9 x 1.5 in) and weighs about 104 g (3.7 oz / 0.23 lb). Made in Japan.
