Tanabe Kanagu Nitrided Iron Grill Plate with Wooden Base 5717

This grill plate from Tanabe Kanagu is made of nitrided iron, a heat treatment that infuses nitrogen into the iron to strengthen its surface. Nitrided iron resists warping, scratching, rust, and sticking, and because the iron itself is transformed rather than coated, the surface will not flake off with use. Once the plate has been through an initial oil seasoning, it is ready for regular use.

It is designed for cooking in a stovetop fish grill or an oven, and its single handle, made of iron with a silicone coating, makes it easy to take out and move. It comes with a wooden base made of laminated wood with a urethane finish, so hot food can be served right after cooking. The plate works on all heat sources, including induction (IH).

It measures about 27 x 16 x 4 cm (10.6 x 6.3 x 1.6 in) and weighs about 870 g (30.7 oz / 1.92 lb).

This plate carries the Made in Tsubame mark, which promises that the product was carefully made with the customer in mind, for quality and peace of mind.
