Tanabe Kanagu Wooden Spatula and Stainless Steel Tongs Set with Gift Box 5397

This gift-boxed set from Tanabe Kanagu's Watashi no Kodawari series pairs a wooden spatula with a pair of stainless steel tongs, each designed for a comfortable, natural feel in the hand.

The spatula is about 300 mm (11.8 in) long and made of hard maple, a dense, impact-resistant wood that softens with handling and develops a deep amber color over years of use. The tongs, called Smart Tong Midori, have an arched, wing-like shape with an easy-to-hold handle; their tips do not touch the table when set down, so they move smoothly between cooking and plating. The tongs have a satin-finished stainless steel body and measure about 245 mm (9.6 in) long.

Both pieces carry the Made in Tsubame certification mark. The spatula weighs about 50 g (1.8 oz / 0.11 lb) and the tongs about 363 g (12.8 oz / 0.80 lb).
