Wahei Freiz Enzo Stainless Steel Colander 21cm EN-002

This Wahei Freiz Enzo colander is part of the Enzo series made in Tsubame-Sanjo, Niigata, a region known for producing a wide range of kitchenware across many materials and techniques.

The mesh uses 0.5 mm diameter stainless steel wire woven in a 12-mesh pattern, fine enough to rinse rice without losing a grain while still draining quickly. The wire is pulled taut and wrapped into the rim together with a core material for overall rigidity, and the rim is finished with a smooth, seamless weld.

The feet are attached by spot welding, which keeps the underside easy to clean and raises the mesh above the sink so food does not sit directly on a wet surface.

It measures about 22 cm in diameter and 9.5 cm high (8.7 x 3.7 in) and weighs about 210 g (7.4 oz). It is made in Japan.
