Akebono Clear Kyusu Teapot Large with Stainless Steel Mesh Side Handle TW-3738

This is a clear plastic teapot in a side-handle kyusu style, made by Akebono Sangyo of Tsubame, Niigata Prefecture. The body is copolyester resin (a saturated polyester resin) that is heat resistant and much less likely to break than glass, while staying just as clear so you can watch the tea brew.

The spout is designed to pour without dripping, and a fine stainless steel mesh strainer catches even small tea leaves for a clear cup of tea.

This is the large size, measuring 17.2 x 12.7 x 12 cm (6.8 x 5 x 4.7 in), weighing about 167 g (5.9 oz), and holding 480 ml (16.2 fl oz).
