Akebono Clear Teapot with Polyester Mesh Strainer TW-3769

This clear teapot is made of lightweight, shatter resistant copolyester resin (a saturated polyester resin) that is heat resistant and will not break easily. Because it is as clear as glass, you can see how well the tea has steeped, and the spout is shaped to pour smoothly without dripping.

The pot comes with a polyester mesh strainer that is sturdy and will not warp, with a fine mesh that keeps tea leaves from clogging it. This size holds 280 ml (9.5 fl oz) and measures about 15 x 10.8 x 9.6 cm (5.9 x 4.3 x 3.8 in), weighing 119 g (4.2 oz).

The teapot is made by Akebono Sangyo, a manufacturer of plastic kitchenware based in Tsubame, Niigata, that is especially known for its microwave safe cookware.
