Shimomura Pro Grade Thick Julienne Slicer PG-649

The Pro Grade Thick Julienne Slicer PG-649 is part of Shimomura Kogyo's Pro Grade series, which brings the cutting feel and performance of professional kitchen tools into a design that is easy to use at home. It lets you cut thick, crisp julienne strips with only light pressure, the kind of cut you would expect from a trained chef.

The blade is ground very thin, so it meets little resistance and slides through food smoothly without much force. A specially shaped blade cuts each piece into a clean square cross section, giving sharp, well defined edges and a better texture. The blade is sharpened on both sides, so it cuts efficiently on both the push and the pull stroke.

The slicer measures 29 x 9 x 3 cm (11.4 x 3.5 x 1.2 in) and weighs 97 g (3.4 oz). It is made in Japan.
