Shimomura Ajiwai Shokubo Kitchen Scissors ECO AEC-401

These kitchen scissors belong to Shimomura Kogyo's Ajiwai Shokubo ECO series, a line built around the future of the natural environment. The resin handle blends in plant-based biomass plastic made from molasses, a byproduct left over after sugar is extracted from sugarcane, so it replaces some petroleum-based plastic and helps reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

Use them to cut vegetables and meat into easy-to-eat pieces. A serrated edge on the blade lets food cut smoothly. The scissors are dishwasher safe.

They are made in Japan and measure 18.7 x 7.8 x 0.8 cm (7.4 x 3.1 x 0.3 in), weighing about 73 g (2.6 oz / 0.16 lb).
